Dr. Mellul is a highly trained board certified Eyelid, Periorbital & Facial Plastic and Aesthetic surgeon. He is widely regarded by patients and peers as one the very best in his field. A native of the Haddonfield area, Dr. Mellul drew inspiration from his older brothers who are both physicians in the South Jersey area. They imbued Dr. Mellul with a yearning and love to care for others. Dr. Mellul spent his early formative years in Europe, fostering a love of art and cultural diversity. His aptitude and curious nature afforded him the ability to cultivate and adapt multiple cultural and artistic elements into his philosophy. DR MELLUL TRAINING , EDUCATION , CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Dr. Mellul earned his doctorate at PCOM and served as a medical student research fellow in Genetics at UCLA medical school. His dedication to specialized and unique education continued at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary (Harvard) Sponsored Lancaster Course which exposed Dr. Mellul to a diverse faculty and student body.
He completed his residency residency at the renowned NYU Medical School where he began to formulate precision techniques of microsurgery learned from training in the discipline of eye related surgery; and the prestigious Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital at the time widely acclaimed as the premier Plastic Surgery and Eyelid and Periorbital Plastic surgery hospital in the world. To master the art of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and general cosmetic surgery, Dr. Mellul also completed two 2 year accredited Cosmetic Surgery fellowships (American Academy Of Cosmetic Surgery and American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons). While there he honed his skills; Precision eyelids, facelifts, midface lifts, periorbital surgery, brow lifts, hair transplants, and neck lifts were his areas of expertise during these fellowships. Dr. Mellul was fortunate and thankful to train with an eclectic group of master surgeons such as Joseph Niamtu, DMD, Richard Lisman, MD, Nicanor Isse, MD, Joseph Eviatar, MD, Sherrell Aston, MD, Albert Hornblass, MD, Amiyah Prasad, MD, Hank Spinelli, MD, Alan Wulc, MD, Robert Dryden, MD , Boyd Burkhardt, MD, Sharon Keene, MD, and Rafael Gabay, DO.
Dr. Mellul ranks as one of the only Super-specialists who is certified and fellowship-trained in both Eyelid & Facial Plastic surgery and general cosmetic surgery. However, he believes fully in a multidisciplinary approach to achieve aesthetic health.

INNOVATION AND CONTINUING EDUCATION:
Dr. Mellul's commitment to education is epitomized by a past appointment as an instructor for the famed Wills Eye Hospital and publication of numerous papers and medical textbook chapters. He was honored as a visiting lecturer for 3 years at the prestigious Stanford University Medical School. Dr. Mellul was also an instructor at SUNY (State of New York). He remains actively involved in plastic surgery and ophthalmic plastic surgery research projects and continues to publish peer reviewed articles and present at national meetings. Dr. Mellul has become a pioneer in aesthetic health and cosmetic plastic surgery. Presently, Dr. Mellul has embarked on a multi-disciplinary research project involving famed Dermatologist Dr. Steven Shapiro. He has innovated the concepts of "BioStimulative" aesthetic medicine and "Behavioral Aging". Also, Dr. Mellul has undertaken a new facet of his practice involving the genetics of aging.
